I wrote a bunch of horribly awkward code, then deleted it and replaced it with eight lines of SQL (max width 64 chars). Greetings from 1974.

Codd didn't live to see MongoDB, but dude was prone to saltiness and I suspect he would've been Very Mad.
Imagine that you invent and publicly describe a very good way of computering. Then you watch Larry Ellison make $60b by selling a bad way of computering that he claims is an implementation of your good way of computering. Now your good thing is buried under his bad thing.
