I recommend also reading @emptywheel’s analysis making significant points about Flynn’s registering as an agent of Turkey only in March 2017, still lying on those forms, and conspiracy in which he participated with Turkey agents lasting into those months.

Two significant items:

1. Felix Sater once said he gave up work on Moscow tower deal only in December 2016 (in @hunterw @BrettRedacted May 2018 interview)

Could help explain why Trump-Giuliani need to come clean, because Sater testimony etc.

Also December is l.a.t.e. 1/3
2. Potential for quid pro quo grows larger as:

The timeline for Sater-Cohen Moscow tower deal extends later into 2016; and
The timeline for Sater-Cohen pro-Russia Ukraine back channel deal extends earlier into 2016.

Flynn cooperated but Trump doesn't call him a "rat." He even wishes him "Good Luck" in court. Also tweets he's worried about what Flynn has to say re "Russian Collusion." What's Trump gonna say now that Flynn delayed sentencing to cooperate some more & Judge brings up treason??

One, thank goodness for a free press. @IgnatiusPost’s investigative work is cited, and a “Face the Nation” episode.

Two, Flynn assisted a criminal investigation that is completely redacted, so presumably not a known criminal investigation. There may be something else going on...
Three, “investigations in which he provided assistance are ongoing.”
Maybe the end is not so in sight as some suggest.
