This news of $600m walking away is FALSE, Matthew, and a wild and baseless allegation like this undermines your bona fides as a Nigeria expert. And I’m going to show you why it’s fake news — the ECA Balance is not a secret, the balance is published every month.

ECA Balance:

13 Dec 2017: $2.317 billion (this was when NEC approved the release of $1bn for security: premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines…)

14 Feb 2018: $2.317 billion

23 April 2018: $1.829 billion — this is when the money for the Super Tucanos was taken out: $2.317bn–$1.829bn= $488m
ECA Balance (Cont’d)

26 June 2018: $1.916bn

16 July 2018: $1.918bn

14 Aug 2018: $2.250bn

16 Oct 2018: $2.090bn

25 Nov 2018: $2.319bn

And then the latest news: the withdrawal of Paris Club Refund Balance from the ECA.

So:

You can see from the above that while the Governors in Dec 2017 approved the disbursement of $1 billion from the ECA for SECURITY, only about half of that has so far been drawn down - the deposit made to the US Govt for Super Tucano Aircraft in April 2018.

#Nigeria the Budget Office put out 2017 fiscal accounts which showed that FY deficit came in at NGN3.8tr (3.3% of nom GDP) and above the 3% fiscal responsibility act. As usual revenues missed thanks to usual over-optimistic non-oil rev assumptions and higher JV payments
But interestingly, capex spending came in a record NGN1.44tr (1.3% of GDP and around 66% of target) with overall budget execution at 87% suggesting some credibility in implementation despite the costs driven by higher drawdowns by Works, Power and Housing
Debt service/revenues printed at 69% (adjusted for sinking fund payments to retire debt 60%) but up from the 47% in 2016. Overall debt tracked higher due to increasingly more expensive borrowings over the last three years - a derivative of CBN tightening.

Some responses from critics claiming to love and defend the gospel fail to exhibit the gospel they claim to love. The integrity and gospel commitment of Christian sisters is being questioned outright simply because they wish to meet together at the invitation of @TGC.
Never mind the fact that any women who attend will do so after already plunking down their money and leaving their families *to demonstrate gospel unity by attending the conference itself.*

Excellence is dependent on other people, like judges, examiners, teachers, assessors, inspectors, auditors. But we can't control these people and whether they think we're excellent or not.

#b 'Teknik menjawab' is not a series of rituals that you carry out to secure an A in the exam. You don't get guaranteed an A just through superficial actions like highlighting keywords or drawing meniscus or inserting isi tersirat.
The problem is students and teachers treat teknik menjawab as some sort of pseudo magical ritualistic gestures that will bring a certain outcome. Draw a pentagram, slaughter a chicken, and your wish will be granted.
Some remote Pacific Islanders in 1940s came in contact with Allied and Japanese soldiers who were more technologically advanced and thought the soldiers were gods who had many "cargo" (canned food, electronics, modern stuff)
