I really wish @twitter could deal AT ALL, even a little bit, with me writing a popular thread.

Dozens of mentions are missing from the list, so I only see them randomly when someone else likes them. There’s no place to see quote-retweets so all of those are simply lost.
And god forbid a thread gets popular before I’m done with it - then the iOS client just freezes every 15 seconds while it updates all the numbers for every tweet in the chain. I’ve left threads unfinished because the clieng was just so impossible to use at that stage.
I thought verification would come with extra features to manage that sort of thing, but it doesn’t. Just another tab to see interactions with other verified people separately. 😣
Ok done complaining! I like Twitter a lot. I just wish it was easier to actually, you know, interact with people. 😬

It’s become more of a bullhorn for me, and that makes me a bit sad.
Ok @twitter product managers, here’s specifically what I want:

0. iOS client to stop freezing when I’m working on an already-popular thread

1. Mention mgmt:
a. see them grouped by thread & drill in
b. none missing
c. way to see all mentions from muted accounts

2. Quote-RT tab
While we’re dreaming:
3. Tab to see “mentions” that aren’t mentions - like people who type out my whole name, or my username without the @, or who screenshot my tweets.

This would be the single most useful thing twitter could do to help me deal with abuse.
This page could also say things like “we notice there’s a ton of incoming mentions on [this thread] that came from [this reddit page] - might want to go have a look”

Just helping me be more aware of where the trolls are coming from would be amazingly useful.
Often what happens when I get a bunch of abuse is one of two things: either some popular idiot mentions me without mentioning me, thus siccing their rabid followers on me with no traceability, or a thread gets linked to from the outside - again, from my perspective, untraceable.
1c - a way to see mentions from muted accounts - would help a lot with abuse as well.

I prefer to “shadowban” trolls with mute, rather than blocking them. That way they can expend their energy shouting into the void, and my blocking them doesn’t become a trophy.
But sometimes I see replies to muted accounts, which tells me someone I previously muted is making the replies unpleasant for the rest of my followers.
Those folks I’d like to block, but it’s a terrible manual process right now to see what they’ve been saying:
- go to the person’s profile
- switch to “tweets and replies”
- scroll down looking for my name
Sometimes it’s really far down and I end up not finding it at all.
I could unmute the person and then use search, but they don’t seem to show up in search for awhile after unmuting. By the time they do, I’ve lost interest.

i see ur eventual consistency🤓
Finally - please PLEASE let me group mentions by thread. Right now I have four popular threads on totally different topics (compensation, being on call, the negative space of technology, and this one), and it is a holy MESS in there right now.
