<ONE LAST EPIC #Spiderverse THREAD!> <SCRATCH SPECIAL!!>
1. So a few more scratching vids - Here's @DJBlakey doing some epic 'laser cuts' with some electronics I'd made - we used these over the very opening logos and glitches at the start of the film...

3. We then go into the intro.. For this we re-scratched a bunch of orchestral horn blasts we had recorded, looped the bars round and did a zillion takes and then edited the best bits together...
4. There's a bunch of other scratch sounds in there too, like this unbelievably awesome scratched rising synth part. This also makes up a bit part of Miles' theme as well as I felt it had the edge, speed and power that our new Spider-Man needed... Strangely pleasing to watch..
5. As is usually the case i'd try and throw everything I could on, but you can hear here from about 0'20 that if you are in the wrong key musically it really starts to clash - we went go chord by chord eventually.. Mixer @samjokell working hard on sofa in background too..

7. One of the reasons I wanted to do scratching was not just because of Miles' immersion in hip-hop culture but also because I felt it sounded really 'spider webby' and fluid. This is some white noise being scratched we used when they infiltrate Alchemax...

2. We used a huge array of electronics both old - like the EMS Synthi (well known to diehard #DrWho fans) - and new - like the FSOL Digitana SX-1 (which Brian helped design!), through pedals and things to jam out a whole bunch of crazy noises...
3. The unstable and analogue nature of the gear would create a really unique and menacing sound that cut through like nothing else. The most recognisable of these is probably the Prowler sound which you can hear on this track here: open.spotify.com/track/0p4G0l12…

Those accusing our organisations of sending female reporters to gain trp, you should know this. When we give them the slightest hint that things are not okay, first thing they tell us is "waha se niklo fataafat (leave from there immediately).
Saw a tweet that said only national channel reporters were attacked. Not Malayalam channels (later they were also targetted), because the latter have common sense. Yes, they do. Because they know you well? For those outside, Kerala is/was god's own country full of literates. Hmm.
Most reporters covering south for national channels are women. Same with @thenewsminute . All 6 reporters covering 5 south Indian states for @CNNnews18 are women. When additional reporters are required during a major news event, reporters from the nearest bureau are sent.
