Sasse is also praising the #MeToo movement.

So Bob Corker just went on an absolute tear about Trump’s conduct in Helsinki.
On whether Congress can do anything at this point, @SenBobCorker told me bluntly: “The president can do more damage in 15 minutes to that relationship than all of us working together for months can overcome. That’s the problem here.”
Corker on whether Trump can get on a course-correction: “Look, the president corrects things when he sees that his base becomes upset with him. So I’m sorry, no amount of talking to him affects him like just seeing politically how his base responds to what he says.”

On background call, a WH official had harsh words for the senators who are sponsoring Rounds-King.

“We are officially asking the sponsors of the bill to withdraw their sponsorship, allowing for the possibility that they were grievously misinformed about the bill’s contents.”
The official also attacked Lindsey Graham, and the White House refused multiple requests to have these attacks put on the record.
Some highlights from that White House official:

“I’m not aware of when Lindsey Graham became the chairman of the Democratic caucus.”

“Lindsey Graham’s presence on those bills is the problem.”

Says Graham is an “obstacle” to DREAMer relief & keeping people safe.
