The “strange bedfellows” argument isn’t about actually building coalitions to combat Trump it’s about handwaving away this glaring contradiction, shoring up NatSec orthodoxy and protecting the GOP brand post-Trump.
The reason we know the neocon-boosting MSNBC crowd isn’t driven by a desire to “build anti-Trump coalitions” is because they spent a whole year ignoring anti-Trump J20 protestors facing 60+yrs in jail. The “strange bedfellows” argument, strangely, only goes right, never left.
