Many of us are legit raising up depressed KIDS or living with depressed "Family" members. I grew up struggling with Emotional Imbalance. In my 100 Level, I had an opportunity to OPEN UP to someone for the first time.

Depression is that feeling between Sadness and Emptiness, but Society is shying away from discussing it until NOW that we're seeing its grave consequences.

Teachers and Lecturers who are supposed to INSPIRE you, are the ones who take joy in DESTROYING 🤺 you and they even do so with impunity 🤬!

Parents who are supposed to LIFT YOUR SPIRIT, are professionals at Crushing it!

Bosses 👷🏽‍♀ and "Senior Colleagues" at Work who are supposed to Train 👩🏽‍🏫 and Mentor 💡you are now experts at Pulling You Down!

Family 👪 Members who are supposed to Support You and have your back are now obsessed with "beefing" you and discussing you, without you!

I suffered Acute Depression*l for the first 19 Years of my life!

Too bad, I didn't even know what was wrong with me. I didn't know what name to call it. It was just obvious - to me - that I wasn't ALRIGHT, yet nobody knew nor thought that kinda thing was important!

I grew up struggling with serious Emotional Imbalance.
But, who or where will I run to?
😢😢😢. It was in my 100 Level, I had an opportunity to OPEN UP to someone - Sulaimon but we used to call him "A-Square" - for the First Time.

We were in the same 100 Level - though different courses - and even age mates, so he didn't have ANSWERS to my Problems!
😢😢😢 But guess what A-Square had? Listening Ears👂🏽 👂🏽 👂🏽

Turns out, that was the major thing I needed to HEAL 🙌🏽.

That's one major thing anyone suffering from Depression 😔 needs. Listening Ears👂🏽👂🏽👂🏽.

You can argue from NOW till "Thy Kingdom Come", but a lot of our Parents TALK 🗣a lot.

But they hardly LISTEN👂🏽 to anyone from lower age brackets.

We - Our Generation - have to decide what kind of Parents 🧓🏽 we want to be and what kind of Children 🧒🏽 we want to raise.
It's in our hands 👐🏽 now!

Depression has Stages, Yes! Those were my worst years! But I'm healed.

Recent cases of Young People taking their own lives 😢 are clear resultant effects of Depression.

The case of Aisha Omolola is a typical example. The young lady even left Signs but it seems her "fam" were just Scrolling and Swipping "Next". We've become a generation of Swippers.

Aisha is gone! This is real life. Depression is Real. Glad there is an investigation going on by @Tweet_abuzaria to identify other - possibly unknown - details of the incident. I hope they share their reports. We should ALL be able to learn one thing or two.

Case No 2: The other guy by the name "DJ XGee". This one even happened in 2019.

We need to start helping ourselves understand that Letting Go of things we can't Control is not weakness 😟, rather it's Strength ! 🙌🏽🙌🏽

DJ XGee could be ALIVE to read this tweet, but he's no more!
