Of course, you need a vacancy to have a vacancy. And, from all that we know and have been told, Justice Ginsburg's surgery was successful at removing the nodules, there is no other evidence of disease, and she is working from home and is planning to return to work. But ...
... Politico's reporting is not telling us about Ginsburg's status. It's telling us about what the White House and Sen. Graham's committee are already doing should there be a vacancy. And that — and the fact that it's happening — is news.
