Hell no. If the Administration tries to decimate Medicaid through executive action after its scheme was rejected by Congress and the American people, I will fight it with everything I have. politico.com/story/2019/01/…
That fight will be through legislation, in the courts, holding up Administration nominees, literally every means that a U.S. Senator has.
This immoral, unconscionable action would devastate seniors, individuals with disabilities, hardworking families and children. We will mobilize like we did when Republicans tried to push their health care scheme through in 2017 and we will win.

Submarine manufacturing in Philadelphia, aircraft construction in Pittsburgh, and a National Guard training facility in Fort Indiantown are just some of the most notable projects, and jobs, at risk in Pennsylvania.
We have received no information from the Administration on what’s at risk, and that is unacceptable. I will fight like hell to keep this funding and these projects up and running in Pennsylvania.

REMINDER: Trump is nowhere close to done trying to dismantle Medicaid by fiat, after failing to get his cruel cuts through Congress.

A quick refresher on what “block-granting” Medicaid would mean and why it’s so dangerous.

THREAD:
1. “Block-grant” is code for converting a program from one that guarantees coverage to all who qualify, to one that helps fewer and fewer eligible people over time due to capped funding that declines year by year.

Here's what that would mean for Medicaid.
2. Medicaid is a federal-state program, meaning it’s partially funded by the federal government and partially by states. Currently the feds pick up a set percentage of states’ Medicaid costs.

First, most #MedicareForAll proponents describe a health care program that looks a lot closer to Medicaid than it does to Medicare, in terms of benefits & cost-sharing.
