BREAKING: Federal court blocks citizenship question from 2020 census.

“The evidence is clear that Secretary Ross’s rationale was pretextual...the court can not sustain agency action founded on a pretextual or sham justification that conceals the true “basis” for the decision.”

NEW: Trump's longtime bodyguard, Keith Schiller, has received $225,000 so far from the RNC, through his one-man consulting firm. cnbc.com/2019/02/08/fir…
Last year, the RNC told CNBC that Schiller had been hired to consult on a site for the 2020 GOP convention. That process ended in July, but Schiller is still making $15,000 from the RNC.
Schiller's payment is the last remaining contract left from 3 unusual expenses the RNC started paying in fall of 2017. One was rent at Trump Tower, one was Mike Pence's nephew's salary, and the 3rd was $15,000 a month to Trump's former bodyguard.

MIT did not respond to my questions last year about its relationship with Viktor Vekselberg. Now this story reveals MIT quietly "suspended" Vekselberg from its board around the same time I was asking those questions.

My favorite Mattis story: Christmas Day 1998. Brigadier General Mattis learned that a young Marine on watch duty that day had a wife and little kids. So Mattis volunteered to take his place, and spent the day manning a guard gate at Quantico so the Marine could be w his family.
Asked what he was doing, Mattis said “I looked at the duty roster for today and a young major had it who is married and had a family; I’m a bachelor, I thought why should the major miss out on the fun of having Christmas with his family, and so I took the duty for him.”
