This evening we shall explore Tesla's inability to title CPOs.

I believe the evidence below (in addition to many prior anecdotes) further suggest some sort of FRAUD regarding titling.

Opening post:

Buyer buys a CPO at the famed Mt Kisko store. No tag after 1 month, temps expired, can no longer drive the car.

Lets see how much worse this can collectively get.

Lessor still had the title on this CPO sold by Tesla. (wut)

Buyer finally got his title 71 days after purchasing from Tesla.

"Whatever happened to: pay cash for car, have title handed to you?!"

about a month after purchase Tesla had him (re) sign some forms.

One month later, nothing further.

One month in, no tags, because "Tesla is waiting for some payments to clear."

wut? the buyer's payment cleared a month ago...

Tesla uses "my cat ate my homework" as an excuse... blaming the DMV for some struggles.

"I'm now temp plated in CO, live in FL, and bought the car in NY. Temp good til 1/23/19....its a mess, still no title after 50 days."

Tesla is still awaiting receipt of the title from the leasing company.

That's probably because Tesla has yet to pay the leasing company... 60 days after collecting the new owner's cash.

4 month wait, but title now secured.

And the grand finale

the guy who was waiting on Tesla getting title from the leasing company finally gets his docs after 82 days

but they're wrong so he can't register yet.

CONCLUSION (1/3):

I believe these (in addition to the many other) anecdotes prove there are some kind(s) of FRAUD going on with titling for CPOs (and likely new Model 3s as well).

🆕 - additional evidence that Tesla is not paying off counterparties promptly.

🆘 - continued seemingly purposeful delay in titling, perhaps to avoid remitting sales taxes
⁉️ - continued out-of-state temp tags. Why? purposeful confusing paper trail? certain DMVs having lax policies? sus.

It's clear that this is more than just being swamped, lazy, or messy. Something smells very stanky at Tesla.
