Periodic reminder: Ann Coulter and Breitbart do not speak for Trump’s base. When Trump started speaking positively the first time about protecting DACA recipients, Republican support skyrocketed into the high 80s. The base shifts with him.
There’s a segment of Trump supporters that is stridently anti-illegal-immigration or just anti-immigration. On the whole, it’s a group way less ideological than Breitbart. It’s more like Fox - will shift to accommodate his shifts.
Trump himself seems to care what Coulter and Breitbart think, so it’s useful to see what they think. But that doesn’t mean we have to treat them as quasi-spokespeople. /the end

Trump lies of Democrats: "Almost all of them are breaking, saying walls are good, walls are good."
Trump is emphasizing the relative Republican unity on his bill, saying there were a mere two defections. True, but there were six who defected to vote for the Democratic bill.
Trump says that maybe Schumer and McConnell can work something out, but if they don't he has "a lot of alternatives." Also, this is a "virtual invasion" of illegal immigrants, and there is a big caravan coming.

Here's the updated week-by-week chart of Trump's false claims. He made 43 last week. That was his 28th-worst week in office out of 105 weeks, though way down from his pre-midterms bonanza. Via editor @EdTubb:

As with lots of policies, support for “Medicare for all” varies wildly in polls depending on what people are told about it. Will be interesting to see how support would hold up after the inevitable barrage of attack ads.
Always worth noting at this point that “Medicare for all” doesn’t mean “national single-payer” to every Democrats. They’re currently using the phrase to refer to a variety of policies, some of which retain private insurance. washingtonpost.com/news/powerpost…
