I watched the full video. Here's what happens:
1) It starts with a small group of nutcases called the Black Hebrew Israelites. They are screaming at random passersby and harassing pretty much anyone who happens by.
2) They start screaming insults at the high school kids, who were just standing there clearly waiting around for something. They call the kids "incest children" and other insults. The kids respond by drowning the slurs with pep rally style cheers.
3) The Native American group walks up to the kids and into the crowd, playing drums in their faces. The kids simply respond by cheering and goof around like they were doing before. The Black Israelites continue shouting insults, calling them "future school shooters."
4) That's it. The end. The kids did not instigate anything, did not harass anyone, did not insult anyone, did not do anything wrong. The Black Israelites are obnoxious racists. Nathan Phillips was clearly trying to provoke something and when he didn't succeed he just lied instead
I don't know what everyone expects these kids to have done. Lie down in the fetal position? I mean, they were being randomly accosted by two separate groups at the same time and for no apparent reason. They just make light of the situation and try to keep it positive.
By the way, the Black Israelites hurl insults at Native Americans, too, calling them idol worshipers among other things. They also shout anti-gay slurs numerous times. But, sure, let's keep defaming the white kids because their smiles looked weird or something.
