1/ Examples of how systems that should work FOR you end up EMPLOYING you.
2/ Our apartment's security guards call on the landline to confirm whether we are at home EVERY SINGLE time some visitor comes

Be it the food delivery or courier, I need to first answer the call and tell them: 'yes, let them come'. It's a constant interruption.
3/ The over-sensitive fraud detection algorithms at @SBICard_Connect go berserk whenever I do an international transaction. They block the card and I get a call where I'm required to confirm my identity by repeating DOB, mother's name and home address.

This happens once a week.
4/ And of course, the classical one: expanding the team by hiring employees. As the company grows, the CEO starts working for his/her team rather than the other way round. The overhead of alignment and managing is *extra* work.
5/ In the general case, this WORKING for things that should be working FOR you happens when two condition fulfil: a) there's no one person at the other hand, but a system / group of people; b) the same system also gives you benefits (so you have to tolterate the inconvinience)
6/ Do you have any other examples of how something that's supposed to help you makes you do things to do which you never asked for and don't enjoy?
