What are you supposed to do if you make a settled or pre-settled status application before March 29 but it's unsuccessful? If you then leave the UK at any point (e.g. for a wedding or funeral) you would presumably only be able to apply for the temporary visa on return?
Incidentally, can anyone explain to me why the Immigration (EEA) Regulations 2016 are being repealed? Is there any technical reason that they could not continue to function post Brexit, deal or no deal?
