OK so: hope. Not entirely clear where to find this rare and perishable resource at the moment, but there are little bits about.
There is a timetable and there is a list of names. The timetable is May coming back with with any changes to the deal she gets (I don't think she will but whatever) & Valentine's Day meaningful vote.
These provide new chances to extend Article 50 and for MPs to take control of the process. I admit I am not hopeful, given how cowardly they were yesterday. But.
We know the names: Moderates in Cabinet. Potential backbench Tory rebels. Brexity-Labour MPs who would not hold the line. The pressure should be put on these guys, hard.
The message is obvious: The PM has been given her second chance. This is the last chance to stop no-deal. Bad cop with Brexity Labour MPs. Good cop with Cabinet moderates etc.
Campaigners are doing this stuff already. If you're concerned about this stuff get in touch with Best for Britain or the others and offer to lend a hand. Constituency surgeries, emails, letters.
Not going to lie. After last night, I am not confident. Feels like parliament has shown it does not have the spine for this. But if there is hope, it's that. The alternative is too awful to countenance.
