You guys, do not eat Starbucks Via powder straight from the packet.
Simply bc you're in a pinch and don't want to mix it with blue Gatorade.
And if you DO happen to eat Starbucks Via powder, or chewing tobacco for that matter, please do not plan to spend all night bobbing slowly over moguls on narrow skis with a 1,000 lumen headlamp illuminating heavy snowfall right in front of your face.
If there had been a help button, friends, I would've pressed it.
Instead, I relied on the dogs to pull me while I couldn't lend them much/any assistance on steep hills in fairly deep new snow.
Occasionally I stopped to dry heave, and I think the dogs were weirded out but super interested in seeing me on all fours.
They definitely knew something was up, and they took really good care to keep their lines straight and make everything as easy as possible for me. Which is good, bc I was useless in my seasickness for many hours.
Like, Boo only tried earnestly to mount heatie Ebony once, and he didn't push the issue when I caught him just in time using up the one footstep of stability/coherence I had.
Ebony and Hunter are very much on the make right now, and it's nice because it means they probably wont be during #iditarod. I think Lucy will be okay, too. No word on Hellion, knock on wood.
No joke, after all this nausea chat (I'm still recovering, queasy and only picked at nachos), I just accidentally drank two swigs of an old congealed smoothie. 🤢🤐
Update: I think the old smoothie was just partially frozen and is fine.
