UN Special Rapporteur’s “Preliminary observations of the human rights inquiry into the killing of Mr. Kashoggi following the country visit to Turkey” ohchr.org/EN/NewsEvents/…
The UN preliminary report notes that the Saudis dispatched multiple “clean up crews” to wipe crime scene evidence of Kashoggi’s murder while denying access to the consulate. The location of whatever remains of his body is still unknown.
If you really need a “smoking gun,” the fact that the Saudi government *continues* to obstruct investigation into Kashoggi’s murder, including not even turning over his remains, ought to be more than enough.
Here are the key passages on Saudi obstruction of the investigation & efforts to “clean up” the murder scene. The idea that this was some kind of rogue operation is laughable on its face.
