Why haven't they trained to? Because Republicans don't train their people.

Why don't Republicans train their people to do this stuff? Partly bc it's not their culture, but partly bc when normal people know how to apply pressure they use those skills to pressure their leaders.

Republican leaders and the base want different things; the leaders want things like "secure perches" and "the chamber of commerce being happy," and the base wants declassé stuff like "value for money" and "don't give taxpayer dollars to our enemies"

Why the hell would the leaders want to train the little people to reliably get what the little people want, rather than what the leaders work? That's not how this works.

(It's not how it works in the Dems, either.)

Asking people to start organizing by launching a national protest spectacular on zero notice is like telling somebody who's never run a marathon to run a marathon. I mean, the first guy who ran a marathon dropped dead from exertion, right?
