Day ended with some delicious food at Marathia Restaurant, who make pretty much everything themselves, including a divine pickled bonito and one of the best cheese boards I’ve had. The owner even let me smell bacterial cultures at one, two and three old. Culinary heaven.

On @BBCNews, Conservative MP @GillianKeegan: “The PM cannot take no-deal off the table or there’d be nothing on the table. I worked as a negotiator for many years. The status quo must be on the table.” Excuse me, oh Master Negotiator, but no-deal is not the status quo. Remain is.
Is this a thing now? Just allowing any old nonsense to emit from one’s mouth on national tv, like mendacious belches, and hoping nobody notices? If you’re serious about recovering “the public’s trust in politics”, not talking cobblers is a pretty solid start.
You don’t need any particular briefing to challenge this stuff, @BBCNormanS. You just need to listen and pay attention to the answer given to the question you just asked.

Illuminating mistake by @ChristianFraser. He suggests, if the EU refuse to renegotiate deal, they’ll show they’re “not an honest broker”. But they’re not “brokers”. They represent the remaining EU27. They’re not there to deliver unicorns just because the UK reeeeally wants them.
That’s been part of the problem all along. The view of the EU as “the adult in the room” who has to give the UK whatever it wants every time it threatens, like a toddler, to hold its breath. They’re not. They’re the opponent. We chose to make them the opponent. @ChristianFraser
It is time to stop treating the EU as the designated driver of our drunken night out and sober up.

I'm writing up a largely sandy island for a #DnD5e campaign 🏝 The island is loosely shaped like a spear head, with a mountain ridge running along what might be seen as the spears ridge / fuller 🗡
I love the phonetic sounds of the Arabic language for this location. I'm currently thinking the island is called internationally as Al 'Ard Ramali. Which roughly translates to The Land of the Spear. Is that too many syllables for a countries name? Does it flow? ⁉
At the very tip of the island (the pointy end), is the capital, a large trading port city that is literally & physically split in two ⚓ It is known for trading in exotic items, precious metals & precious gems. Due to the desert environment that largely covers the island, food...

I just had an epiphany: #beautiful has become my new favorite word. That may seem strange given my circumstances. In June 2017 I was diagnosed with incurable stage IV #lungcancer.
I naively thought that maybe my lifetime of being a health and fitness junkie would insulate me from such a medical fate. Wrong. And So here I am, fifty-one years old and not sure how much time I have left on earth. I know I could, or maybe should, feel angry, cheated, jaded.

She knows we can't be online 24/7. She knows we get busy at times and we can't reply fast to to her messages. She knows we have some other priorities in life and she has to wait after we're done with our business.
But what makes her sad is when she knows we are online and we can't even find a time to ask her "How's your day?". It pains her heart to see us posting, liking other photos on Instagram and can't even find a time to reply to her messages.
Understand that every time we do things like that, it makes her ask herself. Is she really important. Does a portion of our time is too much to ask. She may even say sorry for disturbing us.

How long does a day last everyday? 24 hours? Wrong.

We define day as the time taken by Earth to complete one rotation around its axis.
But with respect to what is the measurement made? 2/n
Since Earth is also revolving around Sun while it is rotating, it needs to rotate a little extra when rotation is measured w.r.t. sun (solar day) than a distant star (sidereal day)
