It turns out that there was a plan all along for Brexit! It was published by Douglas Carswell and Daniel Hannan in 2008. (1/x)

They claim that being in the EU has corrupted Britain’s foreign policy away from its traditional posture of being “a friend to national liberation movements”. Empire 2.0 anyone? (5/x)
The most bizarre claim in the book comes at the end of a long discussion of why Americans and Europeans see Israel differently. (6/x)
Break clauses make an appearance too. Apparently Parliament should have annual votes on whether to remain part of organisations like the UN, WTO and NATO. (7/x)
