This week Theresa May is going back to Europe trying to

1. Re-open the withdrawal agreement
2. Put a time limit to the backstop
3. A unilateral exit from the backstop
4. Replace the backstop with a full trade agreement

So far Europe has said no to all four proposals, and many times in all the languages of the European Union.

The question is, if no stays no by the end of this week, what happens then?

Alright, let's us try and answer what happens. Europe won't change the withdrawal agreement. Monday, Tuesday go by. Wednesday arrives. Still nothing.

This is the day Theresa May has got a choice to make.

On Wednesday Theresa May is going to decide one of three things.

1. she will schedule the withdrawal agreement for another vote with no changes to it from last time. Vote scheduled for 26th

2. Or she will call for a general election

3. Or she will resign

If she fails to choose one of those three options by Wednesday, then it will be chosen for her.
First the general election. She runs out of time for that this week, leaving her with reschedule the vote or resign.

If she fails to reschedule the vote, it's because she knows it won't get through, and she resigns.
If she does reschedule the vote, and she loses again, then she resigns.

Her only way of keeping her job now is to get the withdrawal agreement through parliament in the same form as parliament just rejected it by 200 votes.
