It says you have to allow 25 working days for a general election, so presumably that's Monday to Friday.
Which means five weeks. And that brings us to March 28th. The day before Brexit.

So if there's going to be a general election before Brexit they'll have to call it today

I think we can be fairly sure that they won't call a general election today. So that at least clears the air a bit. There re now two things that can't happen in time.

There will be no referendum before Brexit, and now there will be no general election either.

And this is all a good thing because events and the march of time are narrowing down the final two choices that I said there would be all along.
You either leave with nothing, or abandon the whole idea.

I always said it would come down to this in the end, and when MPs, across all parties, when the vast majority of MPs were finally confronted with that choice, they would abandon the whole idea.
And I still think that's what they're going to do.
