As DNC Media harrumphs and deflects blame for uncritically spreading the Smollett story, remember: they would fall for another left-wing hate-crime hoax TODAY. It was only a matter of days between the Nathan Philips hoax falling apart and Smollett popping up.
Speaking of Nathan Philips, have you seen a lot of hard-hitting investigative reporting on him from the Guardians of Truth? No, he's already down the Memory Hole, and Smollett will be right behind him.
The Narrative will remain unchanged. Facts which challenge the Narrative will be erased. "Journalists" didn't give a moment's thought to the long history of left-wing hate hoaxes since 2016 when they fell hook, line, and sinker for Smollett's story.
That's because left-wing hate hoaxes are not a Narrative the media wants to think about. They ONLY think in terms of Narratives, not individual facts. They quickly forget about facts that do not fit the preferred Narratives.
You can already see the preferred Narrative holding firm against the Smollett revelations: the real story here is the damage he might have done to the True Cause, Republicans are pouncing, etc. "Republicans pounce" is the battle cry of mindless drones protecting a Narrative.
Be skeptical of the tiny amount of reflection DNC Media is pretending to engage in today. They'd be willing to interrupt a "where did we go wrong on Smollett?" roundtable discussion with breaking news of the next lefty hate hoax. /end
