2/ If there are claims made about industry moving off shore, where will the industry go (since the majority of the world is acting on climate)?

According to @ramez good climate policy has 3 key traits:
1. It has a large, meaningful impact on climate change.
2. It tackles the problems that aren’t being tackled by the market.
3. It actually gets passed into law

So @ChannelNewsAsia recently made a documentary about the growing class divide called "Regardless of Class", which you can check out here po.st/RRxmay I found it incredibly frustrating to watch for several reasons #RegardlessofClass
It starts off with Janil saying that the old divisions of Singapore used to be race, religion and language, which is why those 3 made it into the pledge, and why as the chairman of onepeople.sg he's been facilitating discussions about them
The first part of the video is straight out of the onepeople.sg approach to discussing racism - get people who do experience oppression to distill their frustration into something tangible and visible and get people who don't to witness and empathise

I was about to head offline for 2 weeks, but I need to respond to this new paper from @ppchef before I go on whether #nuclear can operate flexibly. By coincidence, I just had a peer-reviewed article on this very subject accepted by Applied Energy by today! So here's a thread...
In this new "discussion paper," energy journalist @PPchef takes great pains to demonstrate that nuclear power is too inflexible to pair well with wind & solar in a "decarbonized energy system" & thus must be discarded "to make room" for more #wind & #solar publications.iass-potsdam.de/pubman/item/es…
I'm going to defer technical discussion of whether nuclear plants (old and new) can ramp or change output to match fluctuations in net demand and contribute to system reliability/flexibility until my paper is released (short answer: they certainly can if doing so is valuable)...

1/ Quick take on the Trump tariff on imported solar cells is that people are going to lose their jobs. Simple Math: Tariffs increases solar costs. Higher costs means less solar. Less solar means fewer jobs. #Solar
2/ Trump country will lose out the most. Big growth in utility scale solar is in the Southeast, Texas and Southwest. All those Southeast solar markets will be hurt MORE by Trump tariffs because they are the most cost sensitive #Solar
3/ The regions of the country with high electricity prices like California and Massachusetts will be hurt but not as much as Trump country. CA and MA markets will see lower margins for developers but don't expect lots of cancellations. Still TBD. #solar

All different races of Mankind are derived from Manu and Shradha. The current Manu is Vaivasvata Manu.
2/ The word Manu literary means man but it is a title given to the progenitor of mankind. According to Hindu Puranas there are many kalpas (One day of Lord Brahma the creator) and each Kalpa has 14 manvantara and each manvatara has one manu. So basically each Kalpa has 14 Manus.
3/ The current manu of the present manvantara is Shraddhadeva or Vaivasvata Manu of this current Kalpa. He is the son of Vivasvat (Probably Surya) and is therefore also known as Manu-vaivasvata.
