Signs to look out for:
As the environment gets more hostile there will be pressure to form coalitions or "convoys of ideas" in the hope of finding security in numbers. There will be a need to pool legal defense funds and other resources.

None of these convoys will necessarily be permanent, nor will convoying be limited to conservatives. Because the general trend is ironically libertarian the forming and breaking of convoys will also affect the left and be more or less constant.
Second thing to look out for. The emergence of decentralized apps because the Big Silicon system will be too dangerous to leave unchallenged. Coalition potential.

So Maduro, probably with the help of his Russian advisers, has been throttling opposition web sites and content. So he probably thinks the Yanqui wizards have throttled his electricity.
Open question: how long can a regime like Maduro's survive if they can't get the power back on?
Considering the Russians have been blamed on bringing down the Ukranian power grid twice in 2015 and 2016, it's a good bet that Maduro is going to ask the Kremlin to figure this one out.

Socialism almost never loses to human agency. It's too good at propaganda and repression to be beaten by men. What kills it 9 times out of 10, if you will pardon the expression, is God. Grid collapse, famine, pandemic, hyperinflation.
Of course when the hand of God smites the ramshackle socialist enterprise there's a lot of collateral damage. People waiting for pensions that never come, free medicine that never is, electricity that's only a memory.

The biggest long term danger to Israel is no longer hostile armies but the institutional takeover of its superpower ally by its mortal foes.
As the percentage of the Jewish population falls and its foes increase it assumes a kind of mathematical certainty.

As we approach the election day, we need to look deeper than the presidential candidates and focus a bit on these governors. I haven't seen discussions on the performance of governors on Twitter. Asides Lagos and the Ambode saga, everyone is focus on PMB or Atiku..
Check how much your governors have earned from the FG and their IGR, look out of your window and see if you can feel the impact of the billions earned in 4 years.. Your Governor is your Father, the FG is just an uncle, you need to hold your father responsible for your welfare..
Before you reach out to your Uncle who has many siblings ( FG ). How many of these governors funded the LGs in their respective states? How many schools were built? How many primary healthcare centers were built? How many months salary are they owing civil servants? Roads?

Things are bleak, but historically speaking... We're nowhere near a hopeless situation. Nowhere. Just need to get our act together and develop coherent, smart, strategic political action addressing the challenges. World is immensely wealthy—just unequal.
