It's not impossible that a Dem prez candidate would tap Sherrod Brown as veep, I guess, but if they do, it means we picked the wrong nominee.
It's not just the loss of a senate seat, though that's huge. It's not just misunderstanding how much your veep pick influences the election, though that's also big.
It's also that if you like Brown's politics and want to see his political agenda succeed, you want him in the senate, not going to state funerals for four years.
If the Dems win the presidency and the senate in 2020, we want Sherrod Brown in the senate, pushing the party left—particularly though not exclusively on labor issues.
