This next amendment is interesting, because it effectively forces the Government to cede control over business in the HOC for a limited time on 20 March for indicative votes. But it establishes an intriguing new precedent by changing Parliamentary procedure.
If this amendment and/or the next one pass, it's possible to imagine the Government changing their whipping instructions and trying to sabotage their own motion for a second evening in a row.
Amendment defeated by 312 votes to 314. MV3 and eternal despair come that little bit closer.
