Potential vote on SB 22, the tax bill. This would send bill to Kelly, who hasn't said definitively what she would do, but has warned lawmakers not to change taxes this year.

Also expect debate on SB 142, which adds $90m (roughly) in school funding to adjust for inflation. #ksleg

Senate votes unanimously to confirm Lee Norman as KDHE secretary. #ksleg

Senate's going to recess so Republicans and Democrats can caucus, which means it may be another hour or more before there are any debates. #ksleg

Baumgardner is opening debate. She says bill reflects what State Board wants, also notes Kelly agreed w/ State Board figures. #ksleg

Baumgardner referring to a letter that the Schools for Fair Funding lobbyist Bill Brady apparently delivered her earlier today. #ksleg

Baumgarnder says the letter says the only thing they can agree on is the first $90m payment. Baumgardner says that means SFFF will continue the litigation. #ksleg

Senate's on an amendment from Masterson that I believe would require district officials to certify that their spending is reasonably calculated to help students' education. Please correct me if I'm wrong #ksleg

Pilcher-Cook has an amendment that changes how the funding is appropriated. Baumgardner, who is carrying the bill, is opposed. #ksleg
