This exchange between Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo is really a big deal, because it represents a larger conversation we need to have. I've often been on CNN's air, and I've *never* lied there and never would nor—to be clear—have I ever even evaded a question.
1/ Chris is wrong to attack Maddow; his attack was unfounded. It's the format of her show that limits the number of guests. In Chris's case, his motto is "let's get after it"; that's *literally something that cannot be done* with someone who lies and evades like Kellyanne Conway.
2/ There are 3 levels to look at here:
(1) A GUEST LIES. You don't bring them on if they do it even twice.
(2) A GUEST EVADES. If it becomes a pattern, you don't bring them on.
(3) A GUEST GIVES AN ANSWER YOU DON'T LIKE. That's life, deal with it.
Cable news needs to grok this.

3/ Conway was *disqualified from being on CNN* for a Level 1 violation—she lied on-air more than once, which proved the first time wasn't an accident. She is *also* disqualified under Level 2—her evasions are systematic and won't change. So we don't reach the question of Level 3.
