We need to stop calling the wealthy the “elite” they’re not better than us. We need to change it to “the predator class” because people that wealthy, buying college admissions, controlling housing, etc are predatory people.
I’m talking about these people under investigation from the college scam. I don’t think a lot of people understand how elaborate and underhanded they were.
Quick example: they staged their kids to look like athletes. They never played those sports. So lets say, you have a kid that’s really good at tennis but you’re lower middle and working class/poor. Your kid gets passed over for an athletic scholarship for their kid bc of $$
They can afford to buy their children into colleges and are literally stealing space from you and your child thag worked super hard. Wanna know what else, athletes do their class schedules first, go to campus early, etc. so they havs a major leg up.
Those houses by campus? They buy them, let their kids live their with roommates and make $$$ off rent. Put their kids name on the mortgage so they’re building credit and wealth.
Think about the housing crisis in SF, LA, Boston or any major area. These people can buy with cash. Now your renting at whatever price because, well, you need a home. This shit is so deep. Ya’ll have no idea.
Athletes get advised differently and first. These wealth predators are making sure their child gets the best schedule the best advisors and pay for them to have access to boards of trustees, etc. those trustees have power. They give scholarships, internships. Guess who gets them?
These parents deserve jail and their children kicked out of these universities. I’ll be keeping up with thus mess but know, this is a very elaborate, very sophisticated scheme to game the system. The rest of us never had a chance.
While they tell us “you just have to work hard and you’ll make it” they buy their way into colleges for social access and capital to use later. For jobs, business loans, credentials, power, etc. It’s networking on a higher scale ya’ll. Us regular people could nevah.
