And we don't need to belabour it but Caylan Ford said some extremely terrible white nationalist/white supremacist shit. White replacement, white genocide talking points straight out of Stormfront.
So ultimately this comes back to the leader, Jason Kenney. He recruited her. He persuaded her to run. He cleared a path for her to win the nomination. How come white nationalists keep showing up in the UCP? Well in this case, she was invited in by the leader.
Lets not forget Jason Kenney’s infamous tweet to white nationalist propagandist Faith Goldy that "You’re always welcome in Alberta, Faith." 
And we can't forget Jason Kenney also defended a cultural snitch line targeting Muslims and a niqab ban theguardian.com/world/2015/oct…
And let's not forget one of Kenney's senior campaign volunteers Adam Strashok, the anti-semitic white nationalist who ran Kenney's call centre during the UCP leadership race pressprogress.ca/meet-the-anti-…
And of course who can forget when the Soldiers of Odin showed up to a UCP pub night, were welcomed in and took photos with the UCP West Henday candidates cbc.ca/news/canada/ed…
All of this is to say, it's no shock when you find white supremacists and white nationalists in the ranks of the UCP. Jason Kenney can do all of the photo-ops with minorities that he wants - that doesn't erase his or his party's record on this key issue.
