was discussion of a hybrid between a long and short extension. Ie you go long but then use that to get another go at MV passed (Bercow allowing) passed before mid April deadline for EP elections legislation, and then leave at end of June with the legislation, and it turns short

Going by the pattern of the past three years we will get a formal request for a short extension that contains within it an automatic long extension - so in reality it really is the latter
several in Cabinet want any extension to be short (till June 30th) then out No Deal...
But on other side similar number want long extension then as an option or even the new default.
