Tusk:
short extension possible, conditional on a positive vote in commons
also recommends Council backing Strasbourg process - to help ratification
Tusk - we have reacted with patience and goodwill...

No questions...
Has Tusk shut door on indicative votes and a path to Customs Union/ Norway Plus? Helped PM position her deal as only way to avoid No Deal?
Taking soundings from all over ... answer:

Tusk can only respond to question asked by UK Gov. Some on EU side had expected double request for short if deal passed/long if not...

If MV3 is voted down, there will be extraordinary summit called -but UK wd have to ask for long then
Cabinet remainers say Tusk was clear that an extraordinary summit would be called, to consider a longer extension if we ask for it. so for them “the choice is clear: Deal or Long Extension”
... but if that is the case, the implication of today’s words in Commons is that she as PM won’t ever ask for a long extension with EP elections...

However she also promised that there would be no No Deal without the Commons specific consent...
So many questions to ask the PM - but we will not get to ask them of her tonight.

She will give a statement on all this from Downing St in just over an hour....2015.
NEW - PM told Tory MEPs at their Downing St leaving party that there would not be Further EU elections under her as PM.. democratically unacceptable etc...
Here’s our @SkyData poll... 90% of those polled say Brexit negotiations are a “national humiliation”
... mainly blaming Government and MPs rather than EU...
Here are the tables for this Snap poll: interactive.news.sky.com/BREXIT_TABS_20…
Nigel Evans MP telling our @joncraig that despite going “cap in hand” to the EU for extension “if we left a week Friday on WTO terms she would be a hero in this country”
Here we go - “2 years on MPs have been unable to agree, as a result we will not leave on time - this is a matter of great personal regret...”
PM blames MPs...

Says people want MPs focussed on other issues not Brexit...
“It is high time we made a choice... all MPs have said is what they don’t want”....
“But I’m not prepared to delay beyond June 30th...
Just how bitter and divisive would EP election be...
Now you want us to get I. With it
Rather risky that the PM has chosen to blame the delay on MPs - the very people who she very specifically needs within days to change their mind and vote for her deal
Blistering response from one of the PMs own ministers:
Her speech tonight “compounds” a bad day...
“Outrageous to claim Parliament has rejected options we have never seriously had - and blame Parliament. No free votes, always whipped against”
5 hours ago Labour MP Lisa Nandy sponsored an amendment designed to help PMs deal to pass.... after her Downing St speech...
Cabinet member:
And although Wes Streeting was never going to vote for the deal - this sort of thing will gravely limit the needed Labour switchers:
