This Taibbi article is blistering.
Two things I noticed:

Also, this piece needs a copy editor, bad.
He also loses major points for claiming Jane Mayer is a good reporter.
He reposts her explanation that she did so much work on an article - talking to lots of people, traveling - but still doesn’t get necessary info.

She details how much work she did on a story but leaves out that work wasn’t related to the error in question. See example here: dailywire.com/news/44459/med…
She claims she talked to LaCorte extensively and quoted him 4 times but her own quotes from him weren’t about the explosive detail - which she didn’t actually talk to him about.
She’s not a good reporter. She talks to a lot of people with little to no knowledge to bolster her narrative but doesn’t actually confirm the narrative.
Then people are like, “oh she spent months and takes to 20 people and traveled!”

None of that matters if it’s irrelevant to the core details of the story.
And we can’t forget her despicable Kavanaugh reporting, where she and Ronan Farrow could find no corroboration for sexual assault allegations but published them anyway.

He mentions the New York cover story about Trump allegedly being Russia agent since 1987 because he met with someone and visited once.
