IMO all New Zealanders should have been advised to exit, esp anyone attached to the Diplomatic Corps, or to NZ or any other military (w military aircraft on standby to evacuate)

I don’t think Winston’s visit was a good idea either. You can’t reason with any man who is effectively an ethically bankrupt dictator - wherever they might hail from.
