2. But clue is in the name - always been 'indicative' - ie idea is to get Parliament to illustrate what it might back - not a definitive decision making process - so this is neither an easy or a rapid way out of the mess - different IF parliament formally takes control
3. Choice remains for May same as it has been for ages - move to a softer Brexit that would implode her party and make it almost impossible for her to govern after a deal was passed (whether forced to Parliament or by own volition)
4. Try every single hook, crook, inducement, plea, offer, including possibility of saying she'll go - to try to get her deal through - or head for no deal, which Parliament wouldn't tolerate
5. The impossibility of all of this is why those around PM have been trying for so long just to find more road, more delay - but new deadline of April 12th might be the last one for her at least, although certainly not last chance at extension
6. On Chequers different people who were in same room say different things about what PM said on leadership (not that they have different agendas or anything) - somewhat academic- some MP s clear offering vote in return for her going, not clear even that would shift enough
7. Whether that's a coherent position when objections are to the details of the deal, is an entirely different matter - but the politics matter a great deal and her departure has for ages been a potential sacrifice to get it thro
