1/ Recovering from #MicroConf has me feeling like I left specks of my soul and little drops of brain juice scattered on those 20 carpeted floors above the Nevada desert.

Brought some new parts back, though. Some of my faves:

2/ Every time I hear @copyhackers speak, she adds a new layer of nuance to a conversion copywriting lesson. My favorite piece from her #microconf talk on why should > could:

"Aspiration is good, but an unrealized destiny, regret and the restoration of justice are more human."

3/ In @hanne_tt's #microconf talk, she shared how she considers "effort to build" separately from other factors when evaluating feature requests. Someone asked why.

"We don't want a system that de-prioritizes a feature that will help our users just because it's hard to make."

4/ In a talk he prepared *during* #MicroConf to fill a unexpected schedule gap, @Patio11 highlighted blindspots we self-funding skeptics may have. Especially:

"Every business has a mistake budget. Don't spend yours repeating mistakes others have already made."

5/ The #microconf talk that most challenged me was @Patticus's, which included data on how remote companies grow more slowly. My remote-only mind bristled, but I left wondering: Why? How? Is the tradeoff worth it? When? Which of the *many* tradeoffs in work and life are worth it?

6/ I missed many of the other talks because that #microconf hallway track is for real. Spilled my guts and heard both extremely precise tactical advice from some and "Are you secretly a therapist??" advice from others.

7/ And listening to @robwalling's talk on the evolution of our little corner of the professional world made me reflect on how cool it is that we get to work in this world, in this moment, with these people. That #microconf sure is a special place.
