So, this is a good time to correct the record on another claim. It doesn't take "beyond reasonable doubt" to charge someone.

That's another lie.

It takes probable cause. That's it. "Beyond reasonable doubt" is the standard for conviction.

So, when you hear someone say Robert Mueller didn't charge Donald Trump or anyone else B/C he couldn't prove collusion or obstruction "beyond reasonable doubt," know that is the latest evolution of this lie.

Reasonable doubt is for juries. Probably cause is for prosecutors.

"Probable" (for crying out loud).

One more point: For the umpteenth time, a prosecutor can only "exonerate" someone by NOT charging them. If there was probable cause, they charge. Doesn't matter what cute and unethical dig Robert Mueller took at Donald Trump in his report. Not charging him does exonerate him.

I just end this thread, and no more than an hour goes by before Little Eric Smallwell, a.k.a, @RepSwalwell, goes on @TeamCavuto and spews this lie, AGAIN.

As he knows full well, which is why we should just call him a liar, a prosecutor's standard is NOT reasonable doubt.

. @RepSwalwell was himself a prosecutor in the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office for 7 years. He knows full well that he is lying to people.
