Have we heard one word from Trump’s administration about this? Certainly nothing about any national emergency. (@govkristinoem declared a statewide one on March 15.) Remember, it isn’t about whether this is unsurprising. He remains @POTUS—and his silence is an abdication of duty.

I am just now learning about Pine Ridge, and am lamenting that it took me this long to pay attention to its plight. I can only speak for myself in this regard, and quite often, people are suffering at epic proportions as I traffic in relative triviality. I’ll strive to do better.
