Day 544 of NO EVIDENCE produced by Trump that his phones were tapped by Obama.

Just two months ago, five journalists were gunned down in their newsroom.
The murders have had zero impact on Trump and his dangerous rhetoric about the press.
The FBI has arrested Robert Chain, 68, from California for threats he made to The Boston Globe. Chain allegedly referred to the Globe as "the enemy of the people" in phone calls.
Trump called the media “enemy of the people” just 3 hours earlier.
Trump on Trump, to Bloomberg: “I have greater patience than any human being in the world,” he said. “People don’t understand that about me.”
(Are you kidding me?!?)
Trump and Michael Cohen devised a plan to buy up all the dirt on Trump that the National Enquirer had collected on him, dating back to the 80s, Trump associates tell NYT. The plan was never finalized, but it was strongly hinted at in a recording. nyti.ms/2oq9R4F
Sources describe the files on Trump as mostly older National Enquirer stories about Trump's marital woes and lawsuits.
The material would have let The Enquirer dominate coverage of Trump's scandals.
Trump says Allen Weisselberg, the chief financial officer of Trump Organization, didn’t betray him when he agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in their investigation into Michael Cohen.
“100% he didn’t,” Trump said in an interview. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
The entire Lester Holt interview has been posted to NBC's website ever since May 2017.
If there's something exculpatory in it, Trump might want to point it out.
This is the 1st time Trump has (falsely) suggested any impropriety over his Lester Holt interview, which aired 15 months ago—an interview in which he said he thought about "this Russia thing" when he fired Comey.
Why make that false claim today?
It appears Trump and his own lawyers have concluded Mueller thinks he already has enough to make the case that Trump obstructed justice.
That's the inescapable conclusion, if you put together all the strands of reporting out there right now.
Glenn Kirschner, ex-federal prosecutor, on Giuliani's rebuttal report:
"Sounds to me like pure PR nonsense. They're making an announcement that they will issue a rebuttal to a report that we don't know when it's coming out or what it will contain."
Trump escalates his language on the Mueller probe: "I view it as an illegal investigation. I'm not saying anything, I'm just telling you this: You read the great scholars, the great legal. There should have never been a special counsel." bloom.bg/2C1fnV4
Some of Trump's favorite targets in the Russia probe have spent their careers in the Justice Department and FBI investigating organized crime and money laundering, particularly as they pertain to Russia.
Paul Manafort worked more extensively in the former Soviet Union than was previously reported.
Manafort and his fixer Konstantin Kilimnik were apparently sent in 2005 to Kyrgyzstan, where the two promoted Russian interests.
The Russian government discreetly funded a group of seemingly independent news websites in Eastern Europe to pump out stories dictated to them by the Kremlin, BuzzFeed News and its reporting partners can reveal. buzzfeednews.com/article/holger…

Barbara Res, ex-Trump Org. EVP: "It is very much the man I know but amplified ... he sort of— has no self-control. I mean there was never any external control to speak of ... But he did have a bit of self-control. Right now it looks like he looks like he's out of control."
The Trump Organization announced it was spending $200m to build what's basically a small town next to his golf course in rural Scotland.
They claim they're paying for it in cash. It's really difficult to work out where they got that money.
Jeff Sessions is safe as AG until at least the midterms.
When asked if Sessions is safe after that, Trump declined to say. He just wants Sessions to do a good job, he said.

Trump has told aides he wants to move ahead with a plan to impose tariffs on $200 billion in Chinese imports as soon as the public-comment period concludes next week.
This will negatively impact the market, raise costs of goods, cost jobs and shut down corporations.
Trump rejected EU’s offer to scrap tariffs on cars.
“It’s not good enough"
He compared EU to China, where he’s engaged in an escalating trade war.
“The European Union is almost as bad as China, just smaller.”
More than a thousand Puerto Rican families who fled Hurricane Maria will get two more weeks of U.S.-funded housing in hotels and motels across the country.
But will then need to fend for themselves, a federal judge has ruled.
Republicans are disregarding Trump's bilateral trade plans with Mexico, arguing his plan may not even be possible due to procedural constraints.
"That would be almost impossible as it's been described to me," said Republican Ron Johnson.
Update: USPS is accepting responsibility for "inappropriately releasing" the personnel file of Abigail Spanberger, ex-CIA operative running for Congress, & is requesting that the GOP-aligned super PAC return the file.
Sure, after they make copies.
GOP congressional candidate Omar Navarro's meeting with the FBI about a fake letter he posted about his opponent, Rep. Maxine Waters, is now scheduled for next week. Misusing a government seal or posing as a government official is a federal crime. lat.ms/2N3lOLC
Pentagon to train Saudi fighter pilots on US soil, despite Trump admin claiming its support for Saudi-led coalition in Yemen is "not unconditional" after airstrike on school bus that killed 40 children.
I'm old enough to remember that one time we trained Saudi's to pilot planes.

Trump says Dems can’t impeach him because he’s “doing a great job.”
Trump says If he’s impeached, then, every future president would be in danger of the same fate whenever the opposition gains control of Congress.
When asked if he missed an opportunity to unite the country and made a mistake in handling McCain's death, Trump disagreed.
"No, I don't think I did at all," he said. "I've done everything that they requested and no, I don’t think I have." bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
Here are the lyrics to the Rolling Stones' 'Brown Sugar,' which played at the Trump rally. #DogWhistle
Crowd at Trump rally chanted "Lock Her Up" tonight.
Reminder: Multiple members of the Trump 2016 team have since become felons.
"These are just dishonest, terrible people," Trump says as he points to the media.
If you think this ends well, it doesn't.
