Today is the 80th anniversary of the end of the #Spanish Civil war. I am in #Spain on book tour. I saw Picasso’s Guernica in #Madrid and here in my residence in #Valencia is an exhibit. It is a time that still teaches us a lot today.

I learned that #Valencia was the second to last city, just before #Alicante to fall to Fascist troops. I am grateful for the stories shared with me here in Valencia where I had my last event for my book tour of #Spain, as well as in #Barcelona, #Madrid, #Malaga, and #Seville.
