We’re swimming in information and good ideas. But experimenting with new ways of working is extremely hard in most orgs...especially across teams, groups, and layers of hierarchy. (1/3)
One major issue is the desire to “get credit” for change, or to advance particular ideas as the “right” ideas. This seems to be ingrained in many managers/leaders approach their work. It’s how they make their mark (2/3)
The idea of treating continuous improvement as a first-class citizen ... doing the work to make the work work ... is fairly foreign. Not among the change agents that reach out to chat/learn. But in their broader orgs (3/3)
