So Point Velocity.

1. Why would we ever incentivize building “more”? We want to achieve more with less, not more with more. #storypoints #velocity
2. Why would we ever incentivize a rush to call something done, and not seek feedback? It happens. Ever hear teams talking about “getting credit” ... yeah, it is a thing. #storypoints #velocity
3. Why use something that has the tendency to encourage individual backlogs (hey, we have to balance the stories out, right!)? #storypoints #velocity
4. Why would we use a weird scoring system that gives disproportionately *more credit* to big things? That’s is weird. I’ll take me a 21 pointer please, hold the mayo. #storypoints #velocity
5. Why would we visualize burn-downs that have little semblance to actual progress? Risk reduction doesn’t look like neat descending line. That’s confusing. #storypoints #velocity
6. Why talk about something that *seems* to convey meaningful information to management, but which doesn’t? There are lots of great flow metrics, point velocity isn’t one of them. #storypoints #velocity
7. I dunno ... I must be missing something. I really, really wish storypoints and velocity weren’t the first thing ppl mention (along with sprints) when they talk about #agile #storypoints #velocity
