Visited a friend. We drove out in a Corolla. He tells me this is his favourite car. I look at his garage. G-Wagon, GL, Range, Prado. He tells me big cars get boring after a while. I say these things are easier said when you've owned them all. He says I should take his word.

🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
There is a calm that comes from being there done that. The buzz wanes, the excitement ebbs, you settle back to normal. Sometimes, that calm only comes after youve been there. Only experience confers it. Personal. Not narration.
It's a bit rich to tell people not to splurge on expensive stuff after you've splurged on them yourself & found them boring. Some people have inbuilt calm in the face of a lot. Or inculcated. However it comes, strive towards it. You'll approach life with more chill.
There are those who use acquisitions to compensate for presumed deficiencies. A prop, an edge. Those ones live for the acquisitions. There are those for whom it is a natural consequence of their status, their success, their name. They don't stress too much. They even play it down
May we have enough personal success to be assured in our completeness and awesomeness not to need props to compensate. May we also experience the success that makes the best acquisitions consequential perqs.

Above all, may our joy be full.

Udo.
