Extraordinary for the Department of Health to be pushing advice that epilepsy sufferers should simply "Keep calm and carry on". THREAD.
Lots of extraordinary things about that tweet - not least the denial of a linkage to Brexit. Here's what the Department of Health's rushed consultation said.

The linkage, literally, could not be clearer.
Indeed, that rushed consultation (why was it rushed if not because it was in contemplation of No Deal?) goes on explicitly to contemplate that No Deal might generate "multiple large shortages".
And the Secretary of State in @GoodLawProject's judicial review has explicitly contemplated "serious drug shortages... in the event of a no deal Brexit."

Serious Shortage Protocols, which we are challenging, are said to be a "thoroughly important legislative measure".
Here is evidence that the Medical Schools Council gave to the Health and Social Care Committee on the potential effect on diabetics. Is the Secretary of State suggesting to prominent sufferers of diabetes that they "keep calm and carry on"? (data.parliament.uk/writtenevidenc…).
The @GoodLawProject has lodged an appeal against the refusal of permission to proceed with its judicial review into serious shortage protocols. You can support that appeal here. crowdjustice.com/case/not-ready…
