When Juncker said today he would « equally respect and establish working relations with any new (uk) Prime Minister whoever they may be » .. the whoever they may be refers to Boris Johnson or another passionate Brexiteer the EU assumes will probably replace Theresa May #Trexit /1
EU doesn’t relish the prospect. They’ve been game planning the possibility of “PM Boris” for months. Mrs May’s Denise hardly comes as a surprise /2
Rather like when Donald Trump became US president, there has been many a European musing as to whether “populist Boris, the arch Brexiteer” might be tamed by office into becoming calmer and (from the European perspective) more reasonable /3

In Milan today #LePen and #Salvini will announce a new Parliamentary group ahead of Euro elex - „putting citizens first“ she says „protecting them against being „swamped by illegal migration“ „toughening security of citizens“ „protecting them from globalisation and islamism“ /2
I asked #LePen if she’d changed her mind about the EU (she once wanted Frexit. Now campaigns for a new pan-European party to sit in EU Institution .. Her answer was to list for me countless reasons why she still dislikes EU. Then added she could keep going for another 3 hours /3

At CDU event in Berlin ahead of #EuropeanElections2019 Their slogan: „For Germany’s Future. Our Europe“. Lots of warnings about „populism“ and mentions of CDU legend Helmut Kohl - a true EU believer - who said „the evil ghosts of the past had not been silenced for good“ /1
Event rather lacklustre. CDU activist Gabrielle told me the party risked a reputation of being fusty dusty. She takes seriously rumours that European elections could unseat Merkel‘s government if centre-left coalition partners perform badly, then leave to go into opposition /2
Vanessa - 26yrs old -admitted to me that she’s the only CDU supporter amongst her peers but says all of them think EU is their future, they just prefer other political parties. She brought her parents along tonight to encourage them to vote in #EuropeanElections2019 /3

BREAKING NEWS: Somalia has petitioned to join the EU. Somalia's foreign Ambassador Gambal was quoted saying "We feel it is Somalia's right to be apart of the EU with our Caucasian brothers"
When challenged by reporters that Somalia is explicitly a African country and not in Europe, Ambassador Gambal said that Somalis share the same paternal lineage as Greeks and oddly namedropped Hitler, that being E1b1.
Already Somalia has begun making moves to integrate itself with the EU by promising to mediate and solve the Ukraine crisis between Russia and the EU.

#Breaking - Some defense sources report #Indian air strikes across the Line of Control in Muzafarabad, #Pakistan. Indian air force briefing expected later today. Pakistan said Indian jets dropped their payloads & "fled". More confirmation of details needed.
There are also reports of dual, air and ground Indian strikes in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir. No official word yet. Waiting for updates. Stay tuned.
There are also reports that 2 Pakistani JF-17s fighter jets have been shot down.
