"Why are you talking about adab?!"

The fallacy of this statement is so antithetical to our faith that the fact some misguided young men & women quote it shows how distant they are from our tradition & Prophetic guidance that they even justify wrong to satisfy their egos.
The last thing the Prophet taught the leader of the companions of scholars before sending him to Yemen to address people was

"O Muadh! Rectify your manners with people!"

"The most beloved to me & closest on sitting to me on the day of judgement are those with the best of character."
_____

Who out there can claim adab & character isnt important after knowing *how important* it is?

O Abu Dhar!
Should I not guide you to two characteristics that are light but heavy on the scales
than anything other than them?
I said: Yes O Messenger of Allah!
He said:
Cling on to perfecting character & prolonged silence.
I swear by the One who holds the soul of Muhammad in His hand, no one from creation can do better deeds than these.

Amr b. Abasah asked the Prophet ﷺ:

What is the best thing in faith?

He said:

Lofty character.

A person with lofty character, reaches the status of the one who constantly prays in the night & fasts during the day.
Allah says
Speak to people kindly

Speak good words to all people
____
Some person will actually come and say "but look at the reaction of so & so!"

I tell you Allah & His Messenger said, & youre telling me so & so said!

This is a command from God!
Fudayl ibn Iyad said:

No one benefits anything from a person with horrible manners.
