6 week abortion bans. Bills that classify abortion as homicide or call for the death penalty. Now that Kavanaugh has been confirmed and abortion opponents have a SCOTUS majority, what we now see is part of an expected progression to overturning the federal right to abortion.
Abortion opponents are seeking to pass bills that blatantly violate Roe v. Wade so that they can initiate court cases that will move up the courts and seek to overturn Roe at the top. Expect what's happening now to get worse, not better.
Same goes for the bad-faith, completely bald-face lying attacks on people who have abortions, parents, and literally anyone who enters a delivery room as we've been seeing in Virginia, New York, and the president's rallies around the country. This is part of overturning Roe.
What can you do to help? First, accept what's happening, why it's happening, and that it's going to get worse. What little access to abortion existed is disappearing, and opponents literally want to kill us. Acceptance of reality is the first step to transformational resistance.
Second, if you are able to donate to fund resistance, make your first funding priority local groups on the ground who are actually in the statehouses leading the awful fights, on the local streets doing radical direct actions, and funding abortions for people in those states.

If they're not making EXPANDING reproductive rights a central part of their campaign, they need to get out of the way. Push candidates to get better or get out. There are a lot of people running for president and they need to prove that they're with us.
